Pomegranate And Collagen Volume Lifting Essence

Besides clothes, I am a sucker for skincare products too. Again I am always on the hunt for cost effective items. Although it is tempting at times with the pretty packaging but I also look at the ingredients as well. The product I am going to talk about is this essence from Face Shop that I got from Seoul. An essence is similar to a serum if not the same thing, it is less concentrated in comparison. Judging from the name of the product, one might think this is for mature skin which I totally disagree! It is never too young to use anti aging products hence the name “anti aging”. I believe in prevention over fixing.

Ingredients
Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Cyclopentasiloxane, Triethylhexanoin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Peg-100 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Punica Granatum Extract, Hydrolyzed Collagen (8mg), Sodium Hyaluronate, Beta-Glucan, Adenosine, Panthenol, Carbomer, Potassium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Elaesis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, Iron Oxides (Cl 77491), Fragrance 

The beneficial ingredients here are:

Shea Butter & Panthenol – It is good for moisturizing.
Punica Granatum Extract – This is pomegranate extract which contains high levels of Vit C and antioxidants. It is good to prevent cell damage and skin regeneration.
Hydrolyzed Collagen (8mg) – Hydrates your skin from within for suppleness and firmness.
Sodium Hyaluronate – It retains moisture in your skin for plumpness.
Beta-Glucan – It is an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory.
Adenosine – It boosts the levels of elastin and collagen.

Based on the above ingredients alone, I am definitely interested to try it and it was on sale too! I got it for half the price in Seoul compared to in Vancouver but I am sure you can find them online for a good price. It has a pinkish tint and gel-lotion type texture. It reminds me of strawberry yogurt. There is a slight fragrance that resembles shampoo but dissipates once it is applied to the skin. It makes my skin softer and more supple. Not that I need it LOL but I definitely do not notice any lifting effect perhaps firmer skin.

In conclusion, I do not think I will get this product for 2x the price here in Vancouver for its results but will consider at a lower price online. I hope this review is helpful to those that are curious about the product. Thank for for reading!
